Lac St. Anne Bridge Maintenance

Formula Alberta was retained to repair seven different bridge files within the County of Lac Ste. Anne, Alberta. Five Concrete Girder bridges, one Steel Pony Truss bridge and one Vertical Ellipse SPCSP were included in this contract

Formula Alberta was responsible for all the various work outlined in the contract. Work on the concrete girder bridges included but was not limited to, treating and banding piles, pier repairs, anchor pile and bearing pile installation, approach rail and bridgerail repairs, timber and steel cap replacements, wingwall and backwall repairs including lowering, the installation of riprap material and other minor miscellaneous repairs. The pier repairs included the supply and installation of nose plating and bracing. Due to the nature of the work, it was required at most of the above projects to remove and reinstall the girders with the exception of one bridge file where new girders were to be installed and the existing to be disposed of.

Formula Alberta was also responsible for repairs on a steel truss bridge which included some of the items listed above, as well as stripdeck replacement, subdeck replacement, wheelguard repairs, and pile repairs comprising of stub replacement and posting. Lastly, the culvert in need of repair required Formula Alberta to install telescopic strutting and erosion control measures as well as place riprap material.
